An editor and a broadcast playout deck, built for your ATEM.

True fill and key over dual SDI. Frame-locked output timing. Deep ATEM automation. And a second Mac that takes over on its own.

Free 21-day trial. macOS 13 or later, on Apple Silicon. Works with keyer-capable Blackmagic DeckLink and UltraStudio hardware.

Under the hood

The parts you never see, built like the parts you do.

The Show tab is the deck.

Walk the deck: selecting a cue arms and preloads it, GO airs it, and the next cue arms itself.

True fill and key on two SDI outputs. Kodiak checks the device can key before doors. The output format matches the switcher standard, so the SDI locks and stays locked.

The Edit tab is a real compositor.

Text, images, timers, and video, layered on one slide.

Nothing touches air until you take it. Retype, recolor, drag the handles; the program feed never notices.

Hot-backup sync. The second Mac takes over.

The backup Mac holds a live, one-to-one copy of everything. Import media on the primary and the backup already has it. Edit a slide, move a timer, and both machines match. It is not a trigger, it is a running duplicate of the whole show.

If the primary drops, it cuts itself to air on the ATEM and keeps walking the deck. No key combo, no gap.

It speaks fluent ATEM.

Kodiak finds your switcher on the network, and a dropped link reconnects on its own, mid-show.

Tally cues the take: a cued slide plays the instant the TD cuts you on air. On cue end, Kodiak cuts the ATEM to the input you chose.

NDI input, on a slide.

Drop an NDI source onto a slide and it plays like any other layer.

Sources on the network show up on their own.

Also in the pack

Show timers

Countdowns, count-ups, and time-of-day clocks, linkable to cues and clocked by the output itself.

Layered slides

A slide is layers: video, images, text, timers. Stack them, then take the whole thing to air at once.

Dual-deck gapless

Two decks hand off mid-crossfade. A ends, B is already rolling. No black frame between.

Per-cue audio

Every cue carries its own audio: level, fades, routing. Set it once and it travels with the cue.

Lip sync, kept

Audio and video move together, one stroke. Buffer one and Kodiak buffers both.

Media replication

Pair a backup and every file gets carried over on its own. Every acorn makes the trip.

Loops that settle

A clip can loop forever, repeat a count, or stop on its last frame. You choose where it lands.

Offline activation

Activate once. It runs offline forever after.

It tells you what broke

If something goes wrong inside, Kodiak writes down exactly what and where. The report names the tree and the ring.

Restore points

Kodiak snapshots your show by the minute, the hour, and the day. Roll back to any ring, any time.

The whole house travels

Backups live inside the project. Move the folder to another drive and everything comes along.
